Our mission and values
Artist Relief Fund WA is a registered charity. We have offered targeted support to Western Australian actors and other entertainment professionals for over 40 years.
Our mission is to support entertainment professionals at all stages of their careers.
We do this by providing artists and arts workers with targeted financial assistance to alleviate unforeseen hardship or distress, treating every request with respect and confidence.
We also host the Performing Arts WA Awards to raise awareness of what we do and to celebrate the achievements and resilience of local entertainment professionals.
We are guided in all that we do by the following values:
COMMUNITY
TRUST
COMPASSION
Our structure
Artist Relief Fund WA is a Public Benevolent Institution.
It is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
Since we were founded as a not-for-profit in 1978, we have been administered by a board of volunteers primarily hailing from the local performing arts community.
